The popular vote and the electoral vote both pointed the same way!

As happy as I am with the outcome of the national election (mostly embarrassed by the local ones), I'd be absolutely elated if the partisan "tea-bagging" and general poor sportsmanship was kept to a minimum. There's already enough raw emotion from this election, so avoiding the urge to rub McCain supporters faces in it will allow the new administration to hit the ground running.

And I'll be happy to say it here: Thank GOD we've avoided the possibility of a President Palin for at least another four years.

COMIC ARTIST DRAWS EPIC FUNDRAISER
Young, broke cartoonist moving to California. Will draw live online for 24 hours to raise funds.


On Wednesday September 10th, 2008 Zack Finfrock (http://www.Zack-Finfrock.com), artist of such hit titles as "Atomic Robo", CAD's "Analog and D-Pad", and the upcoming "Odd Schnozz and the Odd Squad" from Oni Press will be starring in a live 24 hour drawing/illustrating/begging marathon to raise funds for a cross country relocation.

In an effort to pursue further artistic and financial opportunity, Zack will be relocating to California. Specifically, Zack will be moving to Los Angeles, home of movie stars and just about every major production group involved in media and the arts.

As a young artist Zack is duty bound to live a life of Spartan means. His income is governed by work available at a given time and there is no guarantee of income or residuals as a freelance artist. Tampa has been good to Zack, allowing him to make many friends and contacts, but for him to continue to develop professionally he must take advantage of this opportunity and move to California.

Similar only in name to Jed Clampett, Zack does not have the luxury of ‘Black Gold' or ‘Texas Tea' to finance his move to the west coast. To make up for this short coming Zack will be doing custom illustrations and drawings, LIVE via webcam starting at 12:01am on 9/10/08 and stopping at 11:59pm. That is a full 24-hour period of non-stop cartooning. Most drawings should be requests made live during the event.
